United Way of Androscoggin County, serving Androscoggin and Oxford Counties, is pleased to announce that Thiago and Sharon Goes of Lewiston, a husband and wife team, are chairing this year’s 2021 United Way Campaign. Joleen Bedard, Executive Director, stated “we are so pleased to have this dynamic team lead our campaign efforts and thank Sharon for returning for her second campaign. This year she invited her husband to join the efforts and we are thrilled to have him on board.”
United Way is a health and human service organization that funds over 40 programs in their region. During the past year United Way of Androscoggin County was posed to pivot and adapted to meet the emerging needs of the community as the COVID-19 pandemic began effecting neighbors. Sharon Goes stated, “We are proud to serve as this year’s Campaign Chairs. We recognize the impact and challenges COVID-19 is having in our community – that is why, now more than ever, our community needs to come together to support those who need it most. Please join us by making a pledge to United Way.”
Thiago and Sharon live in Lewiston with their family. Sharon is Assistant Vice President, Retail Manager II at Androscoggin Bank in Lewiston and Thiago is a Payment Operations manager for TD Bank.
